Our Story
The Room you are in is essentially the creation of one man, Harry Hasselbach. Harry worked with us for close to 10 months to create what you are now enjoying. There is not a more dedicated or determined individual. His creativity is boundless, his optimism eternal, a true artist and a true craftsman.
Built by Hand
The trees used for the tables in the Lounge were felled in 2006. They have been formed into the beautiful pieces you see though the work of Jaime Robson. If you look closely at the grain, you can determine which side of the tree was north facing. The growth rings on the north face of the tree are tighter as this side of the tree endures the brunt if the winter’s icy blast while the south soaks up most of the summer warmth.
